summary

A charming pamphlet of anecdotes by Jewish Chaplains and military men relating to Sabbath and Holiday observances commemorated in exotic locations around the world - often on the front-lines. “Do they celebrate Purim in America, too?” a Persian Jew innocently asked a U.S. Chaplain as he assisted in preparations for a G.I. Purim in Iran (p. 42).
