This policy explains what information Kestenbaum & Company collects through kestenbaum.net, how we use it, and who handles it on our behalf.
Browsing the site
You can browse the site, search the archive and view lots without giving us any information. The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or analytics tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Enquiries and estimate requests
When you send an enquiry or request an estimate, we collect your name, email address, telephone number if you give it, your message, and any photographs you attach. We use them to respond to you and to assess the items you describe. Submissions are stored securely with Cloudflare and delivered to our staff by email through our email provider, Resend, which also sends you a confirmation.
Mailing list
When you join our mailing list, we collect your name and email address and use them to send auction announcements, catalogues and news. Our list is managed by Constant Contact. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that a submission comes from a person. Turnstile processes information about your browser and connection for that purpose only.
Videos
Videos are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may store information in your browser once you play a video, under Google's privacy policy.
Bidding
Online bidding in our sales takes place on our bidding-platform partners' sites, such as Invaluable, under their own privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
