Son-in-law of Dayan Yisrael Yitzchak Reisman, R. Shalom ben Chaim Safrin was a direct descendant of R. Yitzchak Yehudah Yechiel Safrin (1806–74), son of R. Alexander Sender (d. 1818), author of Zichron Devarim (1871), who founded the Komarno branch of the Zidachoiv dynasty.
