summary

Noteworthy edition, published in a tall, thin format. This work remained immensely popular well into the 19th century. From its first appearance in 1738, a new edition would be issued almost every year until the 1860’s. However, not all versions were of comparable quality; the title page here boasts of its large, readable letters and quality layout.
ff. 78. Closely shaved, stained in places, ff. 9-10 supplied from another copy and expertly inserted. Contemporary blind-tooled mottled calf with central clasp and hinge. Tall 16mo.
