summary

One of the Chida's most important halachic works, published in many editions of Shulchan Aruch today. He unearthed citations from manuscripts encountered in his travels which had until then been entirely unknown. R. Nachum Trebitsch (1779-1842) was the Landesrabbiner of Moravia, based from its main city, Nikolsburg. A traditionalist rabbi in a tumultuous time, he fought a lengthy legal and ideological battle against the liberal rabbi Abraham Neuda.

I: ff. 220. II: ff. 121, 113. Stained in places. Modern calf. Folio.
