Description

Hays announcers the dispatch of a vessel to Georgia and promises to shortly remit bills of credit; he also complains here to his business associate Gratz about the postal service.

summary

“I would have wrote p[er] the Last Post But the Devilish Post coming so very Irregular that we have not an an opp[ortunity] of writing one a week.” Whatever the state of the post in 1768, business continues, and Hays fills Gratz in here concerning commercial interests in Georgia and Newport.
