1937

Translated from the Hebrew "Ge'ulat Sheimot." Fold-out map of Israel pasted to back cover with JNF settlements marked.

A catalogue of settlements on land owned by the JNF with short explanations for each settlement's name."Should generations following us know nothing of how we entered and reconstructed Eretz Israel, they will engage in…research to inquire after the names given to the settlements rebuilt in our own times. Thus they will gain an insight into our souls and will perceive how, by reviving the settlements and their names, we endeavoured to bind our own times with the ancient past."
