summary
Continuous frieze along outer border depicting the Exodus from Egypt with appropriate Hebrew inscriptions. Later German inscription around rim with presentation to Cantor Immanuel Kirschner, Munich 1901. With Diana-head and maker’s mark. Diam: 12 inches (30.5 cm).
Very similar in style to Ze’ev Raban’s later Passover plate. Interestingly, Raban studied in Munich and might well have seen and taken note of the present tray.
