summary

A native of Spain, Ibn Shuaib lived in Saragossa shortly before the expulsion in 1492. Ibn Shuaib’s collected sermons reveal both an extensive knowledge of both rabbinic as well as a broader general culture. The present work also provides an interesting description of the organization of sacred societies for communal needs in Saragossa. See EJ, IIX col.1201
ff. (8), 160. Lightly browned, stained in places. Generally a clean copy. Later blind-tooled vellum. Folio
