summary

David Kimchi incorporated many long polemic passages in his Bible commentary. They are especially numerous and lengthy in his commentary to the Psalms, a biblical book to which Christian scholars attributed myriad prophetic Christalogical references. Many of these passages were deleted from Kimchi’s commentary by the censor and indeed, it is excessively rare to find this work complete with the Teshuvoth Le’notzrim. On RaDa”K’s polemical writings, see M. Waxman, vol. II pp.536-7. For a comparison of the text of this edition with other editions, see the article by Yehudah Fries-Horeb in HUCA, Vol. 12-13,(1937-38) pp. 499-503

ff. 108,(2). Few light stains otherwise good wide-margined copy, neat marginal repair to last two leaves, inscription in an old-hand on verso of title. Recent vellum. Folio
