summary

Unfortunately, few facts have survived concerning the biography of R. David Abudraham. This work, his magnum opus, was completed in Seville in 1340 and is considered by critical scholars as a highly important repository of Spanish and Provencal tradition which, without it, would otherwise have been lost. It was first printed in Lisbon, in 1490.
ff. 86. Margins slightly frayed, stained in places, first and last leaf neatly remargined, previous owner’s marks, signatures on title-page. Bound in Valmadonna-custom chestnut calf, blind-tooled with elegant gilt piping. Sm. folio.
