summary

RARE, BIBLIOPHILIC EDITION. PRINTED ENTIRELY ON BLUE PAPER. Tipped into the volume is a note from the Librarian of the Valmadonna Trust recounting that The British Library’s Dr. Peter Lawson observed the “blotching” on the pages of this blue-paper copy was due to a chemical reaction to the dying process and that the printing occurred thereafter. Soon after this Hagadah was printed the Church-sponsored burning of the Talmud occurred in Cremona and Vicenzo Conti`s Hebrew press was destroyed. See Treasures of the Valmadonna Trust Library - Otzroth Ya’akov, Colored Paper no. 11.
