Imposing scalloped, footed bowl profusely chased with narrative of Darius the Great, depicted with a nod to ancient artistic conventions - largely in profile, stylized hair and beards, and flat, geometric fabric draping. Scenes continue on baluster stem and domed foot with additional floral patterning intermittently. Traditional Isfahan design. Height: 24 inches; Diameter: 18.75 inches.
