Description
Elaborate openwork backplate featuring small, central cartouche of stylized birds flanked by pair of rampant lions and surmounted by coronet. Latticework side-panels supporting row of eight oil receptacles with hinged lid and wick apertures, fronted by balustrade and candle-sockets which also serve as Sabbath candle-holders; the whole set on four rounded supports. 9.75 x 11.5 inches.
