Levi, G. E. Ceremoniale per la Cena Religiosa di Pasqua con Brevi Meditazioni [“Ceremony for the Religious Supper of Passover with Brief Meditations.”]

(HAGADAH).

Cuneo

1865

Italian interspersed with Hebrew. Engraved frotispiece.

Prepared by G. E. Levi, Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Cuneo, located in the Piedmont region of north west Italy. Fine engraving opposite title depicts Italian-Jewish family seated to the Seder table, the father wearing a tasselled cap, seemingly reminiscent of Garibaldi - perhaps portraying patriotic sentiment.
