Founded in 1860, the Paris-based Alliance Israelite Universelle opened a branch in America to help combat international threats to Jewish communities. The pamphlet contains the Alliance’s constitution in English and in German, for the benefit of members mostly deriving from the German-speaking Reform Congregations of America. See Z.
