Carries a scathing denunciation of Mordecai Manuel Noah and his proposed project of “Ararat,” which was to serve as an asylum for the Jews on Grand Island on the Niagara River, near Buffalo, New York. In H. Niles’ version of events, Ararat was just one more example of “a Jew seeking to cheat his fellow Jew by land speculation.” Furthermore, Niles perceives Noah as suffering from delusions of grandeur, next expecting Noah to proclaim himself as Messiah!
