summary
Celebrated exposition of the teachings of Judaism, prompted by questions posed by the King of Khazars. The work opposes Aristotelian philosophy as well as the perceived inadequacies of Christian and Islamic theology and the superiority of Judaism. Though Halevi combats rationalist philosophy, he does not advocate a mindless approach to Judaism. Indeed, his work has been callled a “philosophy of anti-philosophy”
