Golda Meir regrets her inability to attend the birthday celebration of long-time friend Baruch Zuckerman due to her hospitalization with thrombosis of the leg. Baruch Zuckerman was an East-European who immigrated to the United States in the early years of tthe 20th-century and then made Aliyah after World War I.
