summary

An important three-part detailed commentary to the prayer-book with extensive examination of ritual law and custom. As Zedner and Roest have noted, the third volume was never completely printed and "remained unfinished." It has been suggested that Emden printed this work in two stages, initially through until f. 314 (as here) and later with the addition through f. 395

Vol. I: ff.(1), 356, 354-385, 389-415, 417-418. * Vol. II: ff.159. * Vol. III: ff. 314 . Browned (as usual), some worming, slight repair on final leaf of vol. II affecting a few letters. Manuscript Latin translation of title-page facing Birchoth Shamayim. Recent boards. 8vo. Sold not subject to return
