summary

Colossal fascsimile of the monumental Munich Codex, the earliest complete manuscript of the entire Babylonian Talmud. It is the only recorded manuscript of the Talmud to have survived the wide-spread destruction of books in Spain in the 15th-century and Italy in the 16th-century. Needless to say, the manuscript contains numerous and significant textual variants from the printed edition. It formed the basis of R.NN. Rabinovicz’s important Dikdukei Sofrim
Ex-library. Original linen boards, rebacked, new endpapers. Heavy folio
