summary

Elijah de Vidas was a disciple of R. Moses Cordovero, doyen of Safed kabbalists. Despite its mystical overtones, Reshith Chochmah has become a classic within ethical literature. This revised edition contains additions based upon a manuscript owned by Yechiel Melli, author of Tapuchei Zahav (an abridgment of Reishith Chochmah)
