The title states that it was published “Be-Yemei Ha-Purim” (in the days of Purim), which Steinscheider, in his typically exacting manner, duly interprets this to imply that the book was actually printed in two days (!) i.e. on ”Adar 14 and 15”. Although Vinograd lists this edition as ff. [24], in actuality the leaves are numbered as above. It is possible the publisher intended to issue Maimonides commentary to Avoth together with the rest of his commentary to other parts of the Mishnah but later decided to issue it as a separate entity only
