summary

Salonikan rabbi Samuel Aripul (1540?-after 1586) composed his book Mizmor le-Thodah upon recovering from an illness that afflicted him during the years 1569-1571. Though Aripul was considered one of the outstanding preachers of the sixteenth century, scant facts survive concerning his biography. See EJ, Vol. III, col.437
ff. 97, (62). Stained, scattered marginal worming, title and first three leaves remargined; last three leaves trimmed. Modern morocco-backed boards. 4to
