summary

Two halachic works by Jonathan Eybeschuetz have secured his place as a master Talmudist: The Tumim on Choshen Mishpat and the Kerethi on Yoreh De’ah. The aspersions Jacob Emden cast upon Eybeschuetz’s reputation have made no dent in the esteem in which R. Jonathan is held in the Talmudic academies
