All pertain to the social, religious, economic and political fabric of the City of Jerusalem during the Turkish regime and the British mandate. Materials describing internal elections for various political and national organizations including the Zionist Congress, MIzrachi, Keren Kayemet, Kollel Shomrei Hachomot, Yemenites, Kneseth Yisrael etc. Contains announcements of visiting dignitaries, the Satmar Rebbe among others. Includes two drafts of a manuscript entitled Evol Moshe containing a poetic eulogy for Sir Moses Montifiore and a report describing the various services held in Jerusalem in his memory. Correspondence of postcards and letters written to Samuel Salant, the Aderet, Rabbi Philip Klein of New York, Rabbi Abraham Frankel of Budapest etc. An important source for much original historical research.
