Ben Gurion states he understands Zoref's distress and believes that this "spirit of confusion" which has engulfed the public is a result of a slanderous campaign and will pass. “It was unnecessary to hold elections, however the small parties who must be responsible for the State are now in the majority. The Knesset 's sovereignty and judgment must be accepted. The Nation will decide.”
