summary

Kabbalistic commentary to the Book of Ruth, with short essays by Moses Galante, Solomon Alkabetz, Israel di Curiel, Jacob Bei Rav, and others. The first issue appeared three months before the second one, but was immediately withdrawn upon the instructions of the Chief Rabbi of Venice Judah Katzenellenbogen, to be re-issued with a new introduction and a corrected text. Consequently, this first issue is scarce. See Mehlman 1063

ff.40. Dampstained, trace foxed, scattered marginal worming repaired. Recent cloth-backed boards, gently rubbed at corners. 12mo
