summary
It is likely that part of these collected novellae and discourses are in the hand of Bunim Eger, the younger brother of Akiva Eger. The signature “Bunim ben Moshe Ginz” is on the verso of the final leaf and the signature of “Simcha Bunim of Eis(enstadt)-1789” appears at the top of f.31a. There are other references to the Eger family: f.32a cites “what my son wrote to my brother-in-law R. W(olf) Eger in Leipnik-1783.” Wolf Eger was the uncle of Akiva Eger. The family name “Eger-Posen” appears in German at the top of f.33a
ff. 38. Tear on final leaf repaired with loss of a few words. Modern half calf. 4to
