summary

This work is known for its interesting use of Gematrioth and Notrikin in the style of the Chasidei Aschkenaz. Casper Steen was the only Gentile to excusively print Hebrew books. An interesting feature of many of Steen’s publications is the use of an extremely small type-face, employed no doubt to reduce paper costs. See Fuks, Hebrew Typography in the Northern Netherlands (1984) pp. 411-16.
