summary

Provenance: Aaron Moses Megeza-Tzvi, of Brod (1775-1845), with his signature on title and ff.129 and 169. R. Aaron Moses was a disciple of R. Uri of Strelisk and the Chozeh (Seer) of Lublin. He migrated to Jerusalem in 1839 and is considered the founder of the Chassidic presence there. His surname “Megeza-Tzvi,” denotes his descent from the Great Rashi. The Chozeh of Lublin records in the approbation to this work, the tradition whereby MOSES of PSHEVORSK received mystical visions, since his youth, of the illustrious Moses Alsheich of 16th-century Safed.
ff. (2), 230. Browned and stained, scattered marginal worming affecting text in places. Later calf-backed boards, worn and rubbed. 4to
