summary

The second Jewish Calendar printed in England, the first appeared a year prior. Steinschneider knew only of the edition for 1695-6 (Cat. Bodl. 6994.1 col.2401). More than it’s title indicates, the work includes learned essays of Jewish antiquarian interest. See A.M. Hyamson, The Sephardim of England (1951) p.60
