Ordinance issued by Prague’s most authoritative Rabbinic leader on the occasion of Maria Theresa’s visit to the Jewish Quarter of Prague. R. Landau authorized special prayers to be recited in honor of Her Majesty and voiced strong support of the Monarch’s political and military policies concerning the City of Prague. The Noda Yehudah also declared unbridled allegiance to the Empress and casts dire warnings to any member of the Community seen to be disloyal. See A.D. Luria & S.
