Description
Autograph letter signed, in Yiddish, on headed paper, “Criticism propels me to work ever harder.” Observes his Family name was Segal, however to avoid problems with military service his father changed the name to Chagall. Other family members took the name Shagalow. “Unfortunately I have no documentation to support this.”
