Goren Nachon is a collection of three classic philosophic works all translated from the original Arabic into Hebrew: ibn Gabirol’s Tikun Midoth HaNephesh; ibn Ishak’s Musarei HaPhilosophim; and Sepher HaTapu’ach, attributed to Aristotle. Ibn Gabirol was translated by Judah ibn Tibbon; ibn Ishak by Judah al-Harizi, and pseudo-Aristotle by Abraham b. Chasdai Halevi. The editor Joseph Aschkenazi of Padua added subject headings and names of scholars cited in each paragraph (noted alongside the margins).
