The introduction states that this publication was issued by a group of former Yeshiva students who subsequently went into business. In order to continue the spirit of the Yeshiva, R. Yerucham Levovitz suggested they form a weekly study-group in Gemara. The editors here proudly state that these published lectures were composed by those who worked for a living yet ensured they set aside time for Torah study. It should be noted that a few of these writers later became celebrated rabbis in America.
