Debate arose in Eretz Israel concerning women seeking to vote for, and serve as, communal representatives. The author of the present work cites the favorable opinion of the Zionist Movement, as well as the dissenting opinions of both the Mizrachi faction and the Chareidim. The author (1876-1955) was a prominent rabbi and president of Mizrachi in the United States and member of the executive board of the Agudath Harabanim. He wrote published numerous rabbinic works.
