Intimate, tender and highly personal, Techinah prayers were composed almost exclusively for the needs of Jewish women, and thus their literary style were shaped according to the psyche and patterns of a woman’s life. Although the name of the scribe is not noted in the present manuscript, the style of handwriting and distinct spelling of certain words appear to indicate that it was very likely written by a woman.
