This is the second edition of the Alexander Hagadah. The earlier edition of 1770 was the first Passover Hagadah to be printed in the English language. See Kestenbaum & Company, Fine Judaica, 5th April 2005, lot 136. Joseph Josephs might stem from the Josephs Family of Plymouth and Devon, here however he provides an address of “Hammett Street,” located near the Tower of London.
