A polemic against Meir Lerner’s Halachic position concerning the exhumation of remains in order to rebury them elsewhere and the prohibition of burying cremated bodies in a Jewish cemetery. The author (1854-1927), was Rabbi of Munich for nearly 50 years and authored a number of scholarly works. His grandson and namesake is the Rosh Beth Din Emeritus of the United Synagogue of the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth.
