A study of the Book of Psalms divided into three sections. In the first, Bythner analyzes the roots of the Hebrew words, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Next, he provides an alphabetical index of the Hebrew words and finally, a study of Hebrew grammar. Victorinus Bythner or Buttner (1605? -1670?), a Pole who later settled in England, was a professor of Hebrew language in both Oxford and Cambridge. He later removed to Cornwall where he practiced medicine. See DNB, also EJ, Vol. VIII col. 26.
