Lot 16
"Carmel, Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve"
1 bottle.
(CC): "Carmel Winery, Israel"
Est: $2,500 - $3,000
"The 1976 Carmel Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve was the first fine kosher wine produced in Israel and signalled the start of the kosher wine revolution. Indeed, it was the first kosher wine to refer to its varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon. As part of the aging process, Limousim oak barrels - traditionally used to age brandy - were utilized. This is one of the legendary wines in the pantheon of kosher wines."
