Originally published as part of Ta’alumoth Chochmah by Joseph Shlomo Delmedigo in 1629 and separately thereafter under the title Shivchei Ha'Ari. The eminent historian Meir Benayahu's doctoral dissertation focused upon Shivchei Ha'Ari and its various recensions. Benayahu also published a full bibliography of all the printed editions and manuscripts of the work in Aresheth Vol III (1961) pp. 144-65
