Seneh, Iranian Kurdistan, 1928.:

Est: $1,000 - $1,500
The city of Seneh (also Senna and Sine), as it is referred to in Kurdish, or Sanandaj in Farsi, is located in North-western Iran,. Generally, Jewish marriage contracts locate the city where the document is drawn up by its relation to the nearest body of water. In the case of Kethuboth written in Seneh, an additional coordinate has been added to the traditional formula: "in the town of Seneh which borders Mount Abidar. ". See Israel Museum Catalogue, The Jews of Kurdistan (2000) pp. 220-223; S. Sabar, Ketubbah (1990) no. 222.
