This postcard was sent from the historic First Congress of Agudath Israe. It was at this Congress that Rabbi Meir Shapiro announced the new institution of Daf Yomi The unidentified writer penned these lines: Vienna, 9 Ellul, 7:30pm, (written) in the room of Rabbi Dr. Pinchos Cohen, during negotiations concerning relations between Agudath Israel and Tze'irei Yisrael, and the latter's incorporation into the Agudah.
