Zwingli (1484-1531) was the leader of the Reformation in Switzerland. Leo Jud(a) (1482-1542), a Christian Hebraist of Alsatian origin, is famed for his Swiss-German translation of the Bible, which resulted in the Zurich Bible (1527-29) of the Swiss Reformed Church.
