This scarce, unusual romanticized scene expreses the hope that in the aftermath of Allied victory in World War I there would arise an independent Jewish State in Palestine. In this most interesting print appear American President Woodrow Wilson cutting the chains of the Maiden of Zion and at far right, we see the Allied victors, including Lloyd George of England along with Lord Balfour, Clemenceau of France, et al. Of note is the figure representing the Arabs - though unidentified by name, a likeness of Emir Feisal who met with Chaim Weizmann in 1918, first in Aqaba, Transjordan, later in London and Paris.
