In this letter, the Rebbe of Gostynin, Poland, known as "Der Guter Yid," blesses his wife's kinsman upon his forthcoming marriage. Rabbi Yechiel Meir Lipschitz (1810-1888) was a disciple of R. Menachem Mendel of Kotzk, R. Isaac Meir of Gur and R. Abraham Landau of Tchechanov. It is said that the Kotzker Rebbe considered R. Yechiel Meir to be one of the "thirty-six righteous men of the generation." See Tz. M. Rabinowicz, The Encyclopedia of Hasidism (1996), p. 289; Y. Alfasi, Ha-Chassiduth (1977), p. 210
