R. Nathan Hakohen Adler of Frankfurt am-Main (1741-1800), referred to as "HeChasid ShebiKehunah" was the teacher of R. Moshe Schreiber, the Chatham Sopher. Known as HaNesher HaGadol, "The Great Eagle" (Adler is German for eagle), R. Nathan Adler's impact upon German-Jewry lasted generations R. Jacob David Biderman (1808-63) was a grandson of R. Ezekiel of Kozhnitz and a disciple of R. Menachem Mendel of Kotzk. Biderman’s grandson, R. Jacob Meir Biderman (1870-1941), married the daughter of R.
