Signatures including Saul Yitzchak Marciano), lengthy full page inscription on verso of title in an Italian hand recording births in 1647 and 1652, some staining, slight marginal worming repaired, signatures of censors on verso of final blank (dated 1629 and 1687). The first work attributed to an author after the close of the Talmudic era. In the nineteenth century, R.
